The man who put the hot back in Hot Rodding joins Courtney on The PowerBlock
March 1 & 2. Pete Chapouris is the president of SO-CAL Speed Shop; THE pioneering hot rod shop that began in 1946. Pete started building cars in the 50’s and is best known for The California Kid, a ‘34 Ford 3 window coupe hot rod that starred in a TV movie with the same name in 1974. He struck gold again with ZZ Top’s Eliminator Car in 1983 and now again with this million dollar hot rod named Spencer-2. Check out Courtney’s extended interview with Pete Chapouris. Check out this cool 1956 Ford F-100. Eric Reid along with his son, Mom and Dad and truck builder Garrett Barker join Courtney to help document the history of this Willow Green pickup truck that was first owned by Eric’s Grandfather to haul coal with. Garrett and Wayne Barker from Super Toys in Dunlap, TN spent three years restoring this gem. Wayne added his special touch; a custom tilt dumper bed. See it on The PowerBlock February 16 & 17.
