Get Hooked on Hoek!
Off road racer Ross Hoek comes to The PowerBlock with his 820 horse Pro-2 Skyjacker F-150! Ross races in the CORR series as well as The World Series of Off Road Racing with his two wheel drive truck weighing in at 3750lbs and powered by a 385. His suspension carries 18 inches of travel in the front and 20 inches in the rear.
Ross also manufacturers his own chassis, spindles and hubs, while he owns his own CnC machine company called Impres Engineering. When he’s not racing or making race parts, Ross also manufacturers parts for the renewable energy and office furniture industries. By the way, the last name is pronounced hook!

America’s top custom car designer Chip Foose visits The PowerBlock shop October 25 & 26. Courtney and Chip team up again to talk about cars, careers and working for the late, great Boyd Coddington. Chip reveals the secrets of automotive design, how he got started at the age of 7, his favorite builds plus advice he has for your projects. Horsepower discovers hot rodders have very big hearts. This weekend Joe Elmore joins famous car designer Chip Foose and Powerblock’s Courtney Hansen at the Year One Braselton Bash, It’s a poker tournament and car show that raises money for the Progeria Research Foundation. Progeria is a fatal disease that causes rapid, premature aging in young children. Helping find a cure for Progeria is a special mission for Chip who lost a sister to the disease in the mid-1980’s. Watch HorsePower this weekend October 18th & 19th.

Bill Goldberg’s wild clone of a ‘70 Satellite to Superbird returns to The PowerBlock almost done. Year One President Kevin King joins Courtney for an update on this amazing project car October 18 & 19. If you remember, Goldberg’s plan is to add a who’s-who of sports and entertainment memorabilia to the package and auction the whole thing off at Barrett Jackson. All the proceeds will benefit the Darrell Gwynn Foundation.
