A first on The PowerBlock as Courtney features a rare ’66 Lamborghini 350-GT Superleggera. It’s the 50th of 150 built and the first body style Ferruccio Lamborghini produced! It’s got a 4 speed V-12 with 6 two-barrel Weber carbs and of course it’s got a silky smooth Italian leather interior. Thanks to owner Kevin Cogan for loaning us his Italian sports car. We’ll explain the name later. This gorgeous ’62 Corvette has one amazing story but believe it or not, in 2004 it sat under 12 feet of water from Hurricane Ivan. Owners Steve & Jen Keffeler decided to restore the Vette that originally belonged to Jen’s dad, Top Gun pilot Stephen Richards. They spent two years cleaning it up for Randy Borcherding and the guys at The Painthouse who labored 8 months from raw fiberglass to final paint. The color is a custom mix called Dark Pearl Maroondy. Then Ron Magnus finalized the four year resto with a drop dead leather interior. Jen nicknamed the car “Sumday” because some day she was going to restore her Dad’s car. Courtney welcomes 10.5 Outlaw Racer, Ken Rainwater to The PowerBlock this weekend. Ken races in the ORSCA series with a Mustang, powered by a fuel injected 598 cubic inch aluminum big block that makes 3000 horses! It has twin 91mm BorgWarner turbos with a Bruno Lenco transmission. ET time of 4.38 at 180MPH. Ken started racing when he was 17 and at 19 became the youngest licensed IHRA Alcohol Funny Car driver in the Southeast. Courtney features a sharp street truck on The PowerBlock this weekend! It belongs to Army Staff Sergeant Dan Dizon, an instructor at the 101st Airborne Division. He got this stock 2002 Dodge Ram and then added a custom fascia and billet grill, 22 inch wheels and a custom Ostrich leather interior. While Dan was deployed in Iraq his wife had it lowered and had the silver and purple ghost flames painted on the Dodge. It was a total surprise when Dan got home a year later! Check out the 3,500hp Rislone dragster with Bill Reichert at the wheel! The 3 time NHRA Champion in the Top Alcohol dragster division races a Nitro Methane injected machine that pulls 3 G’s.  He holds the division records for speed at 284MPH and ET at 05.10.
